The second season of modern family is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Lloyd-Levitan Productions and airs on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Modern Family is produced by co-creators Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan who serve as executive producers and show runners with Bill Wrubel as co-executive producer.Despite being produced by Lloyd-Levitan Productions, Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are dissolving their four-year business partnership. Returning writers include Paul Corrigan, Joe Lawson, Levitan, Lloyd, Dan O’Shannon, Brad Walsh, Ilana Wernick, Wrubel, and Danny Zuker.Joining the writing staff during the second season are Jerry Collins, Alex Herschlag, Abraham Higginbotham, Elaine Ko, Jeffrey Richman.Returning directors are Michael Spiller and Chris Koch. New directors are Gail Mancuso, Scott Ellis and Beth McCarthy-Miller. Jason Winer who directed 14 episodes of the first season won't return for this season to focus on his first film Arthur.
